Mickey Arthur, the Pakistan cricket team manager, joined the team on Sunday in Hyderabad, India, ahead of the 2023 ICC World Cup.

Pakistan’s first match is scheduled on October 6 against the Netherlands. After serving as the head coach of Derbyshire in England, Arthur returned to start his career with the Pakistan and India teams.

He was appointed to the role by the PCB in April, where his duties included planning and developing the game plan for the Pakistan men’s team. During his previous coaching tenure from 2016 to 2019, Pakistan achieved great success, becoming the best team in Tests and T20Is. Under Arthur’s leadership, they achieved a major victory in 2017 by winning the ICC Champions Trophy.

In the recent international warm-up match against New Zealand, Pakistan set a huge target of 346 runs. However, New Zealand won, chasing the mark by losing just five wickets.

The Green Shirts will face Australia on October 3 in their second warm-up match before they begin their World Cup campaign in the Netherlands on October 6. Equipe du Pakistan also Monday ICC 2023
